Bearys Enviro-Architecture Design School is a progressive School of Architecture, with its overarching mission of environmental consciousness embedded in the name of the institution. The school seeks to sensitize and equip future architectural design professionals to meet the serious challenges of Sustainable Development and fulfil their roles as responsible practitioners of Green Architecture. In line with this goal, BEADS engages faculty, industry experts, and researchers from various parts of the world, who provide insight into diverse design approaches and challenges, to inspire students and keep them abreast of best practices in Sustainable Development and Design.

The experiential nature of the curriculum lays emphasis on blending prescribed theory content with first hand site and workspace visits, organising of workshops and field trips. This methodology equips the students to observe and help handle real world challenges upon graduation. The fundamental philosophy of our program is to understand that architecture is not limited to pandering to visual aesthetics alone but to evoke a deep empathy to the ecosystem that sustains life and prepares one to be a steward of nature while delivering professional services.

Community level participation through academic projects
The 3rd semester Architectural Design project was to design a ‘Nature interpretation center’ at Kidoorbirds village, Kumbala, Kasaragod district in the state of Kerala. The student’s work submitted in a report format to the district collector of Kasaragod Mr. Inbasekar. K. IAS during a function held at Kumbala, Kasaragod district, Kerala as part of the ‘International wetland day’ celebration.
Marsception 2024 Architecture Competition
Marsception 2024 Architecture Competition” International Open Design competition, conducted by volume zero participated by our First-year students: Their project, a self-sustaining living habitat for Mars, aimed to make mankind a multi-planetary species.
National Design competition & Workshop conducted by UNFOLD Design Studio under COA
It challenges architects and professionals to embrace the digital revolution reshaping the industry. Participants were tasked to harness the power digital methods to both design and build innovative architectural elements and there was a competitive participation from our students.
Innovation in Teaching
Using of AR & VR: Introducing AR and VR concept to students’ which education enhances students’skills, provides a more creative learning environment, and prepares them for the evolving technological landscape in the field of architecture.Students can immerse themselves in virtual environments to explore and experience their architectural designs at a human scale.
Industrial Visits
These visits provide students with firsthand exposure to the inner workings of industries and businesses, helping them bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
Growing BEARYS’ Green Footprint – Plantation Drive at Campus
This campus tree plantation program is a collaborative effort aim to engage Bearys Enviro -Architecture Design School and Bearys institute of Technology students in a hands-on environmental initiative, fostering a sense of responsibility and connection to nature. By actively contributing to their campus ecology, students will gain valuable experience in sustainable design principles and practice.
