Dr K S Babu Narayan, Head, Department of Civil Engineering, NITK, Suratkal, an eminent Civil Engineer, alumni of IIT Mumbai and a highly respected Consulting Engineer, was the resource person for this session.
The objective of the session was to introduce the field of Building Structures to the student community of both, BEADS and Civil Engineering of BIT, the engineering institution at the campus. Students challenged by the complexity of the field, needed a guiding hand of an accomplished veteran to make the transition to more advanced concepts a little more easier.
The session was appreciated by one and all. The event was graced by Dr Mahabaleshwarappa, Principal, BIT, Dr Purushottam CT, Head of Civil Engineering, Prof. Rukhsana Algur, HoD, BEADS, among others.
