This was our minor project to design a dwelling for working class. The site is in Munnar, Kerala. The users were agrarian community many of whom work outside and the others have cultivable land. The design called for community based living but due to land scarcity, vertical approach was decided. Each floor of the building have 2-4 houses with ample open space for many community based activities like drying grains, clothes etc. Each floor becomes a neighborhood community center where the residents can interact with each other.
