Bangalore: A sub-contractors meet was organized by Bearys Group at Bearys Global Research Triangle(BGRT) on 4th August 2024. All Subcontractors along with their Supervisors & Foremen) from Bangalore, Mangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad projects and the management led by Mr. Syed Mohamed Beary, Founder & CMD of Bearys group together with project directors GMs and senior staff from the head office attended the meet.
The main purpose of the workshop was to have a healthy interaction with all subcontractors and their team and give them a presentation on how works are to be executed mainly in the area of Shuttering, Reinforcement and Masonry in terms of Safety, Quality and Productivity. In addition to also provide awareness on modern tools & equipment used in construction. The presentation also demonstrated the way forward to improve Safety, Quality & Productivity and garnered feedback from all in terms of manpower mobilization and improving existing conditions. In all 51 Subcontractors & 42 Supervisors / Foremen attended the meeting from all the projects.
The workshop began with a prayer song.
Mr. Rajesh, GM– HR & Facility Management welcomed the gathering and Mr. Mohan Naik – GM– Projects &Delivery gave a presentation on Frontline Subcontractors.
Mr. Tilak Singh, AGM, Mr. Rajaram Narayanachar, PM, Mr. Mahadev Thorat – GM, Mr. Abusaad Siddique– Dy Director, Mr. Mohammed Gani – Director and Mr. Rajkumar – CFO also addressed the gathering.
Mr. Siddique Beary – Director Bearys Group, during his address mentioned that the organization always protects the workers’ interest and makes every effort to make sure all of them are well taken care of every time.
Mr. Ashraf Beary – Director, Bearys Group during his address cautioned all on material wastage and requested the teams to take ownership.
Mr. M. Balasubramanian– GM – QHSE gave a presentation on the works executed at site and the way forward. Modern tools used in construction for masonry, reinforcement and formwork were shown in the presentation. A live demo on “how to give work instruction” was conducted.
Mr. Syed Mohamed Beary – Founder & CMD during his address announced that WSO (World Safety Organization) India has awarded Bearys Microsoft Data Center HYD-01 project in Hyderabad “Outstanding Performance for OHS&E in construction. He added that our next goal should be to strive for similar achievements internationally.
Some of the highlights of his address are as follows:
- Take care of your workers like how Bearys is taking care of you.
- Encourage the workers, reward and recognize to motivate them.
- e.f 16.08.2024, use of mobile phones by workers and supervisors / Foremen will not be allowed at all sites.
- Bearys shall establish Workers Training Skill Development Center soon.
- Benefits of BOCW registration for the workers.
Each subcontractor, Supervisor and Foreman was given a gift voucher worth INR 5,000/- as a special gesture from Bearys.
18 Best performing subcontractors in all projects were recognized with a wristwatch as a special gift.
5 Spot prizes were given for winnerson quizzes conducted during the interactions.
The entire event, accommodation, transportation for all, subcontractors, supervisors, Foremen and staff including food arrangements were organized by the head office HR. team along with the BGRT team led by Mrs. Saheera Banu with security arrangements, car parking facility etc..
A vote of thanks was given at the end of the meeting.
The meeting ended with the National Anthem.
