The Founder’s Day, Annual Day & Inauguration of the newly constructed ‘Bearys Knowledge Campus’, Kodi, Kundapura

The Founder’s Day and Annual Day at The Bearys Group of Institutions witnessed a momentous celebration beginning with the inauguration of the newly constructed ‘Bearys Knowledge Campus’ by Mr. H.K Patil, Karnataka’s Hon’ble Minister of Law, Parliamentary Affairs, Legislation, and Tourism. The event, graced by dignitaries and guests, also featured the unveiling of the organization’s new logo.

The Chief Guest, Minister Patil Addressed the gathering and emphasized the pivotal role of education in shaping students into invaluable assets for the nation. He urged students to prioritize diligent study habits, eschewing shortcuts that may hinder their path to success. Patil underscored the importance of fostering brotherhood in society, asserting that promoting love over hate is essential for effective nation-building. Commending the institution’s commitment, he noted the commendable efforts of Bearys in this direction.

Karnataka Assembly Speaker U.T Khader, after inaugurating the grand entrance of the ‘Bearys Knowledge Campus,’ stressed the significance of true patriotism, asserting that the strength of the country lies in empowering students and the youth community. He lauded Bearys Institutions for imparting holistic education and instilling ethical values, positioning students as capable and knowledgeable individuals in all walks of life.

Managing Trustee Syed Mohamed Beary, in his opening address, revealed ambitious plans to develop the institution into a university with a focus on promoting peace in society. He highlighted the institution’s involvement in community service, including a 28-month-long initiative to clean Kodi Beach, resulting in a notable increase in turtle activity.

MLA Kiran Kumar Kodgi, the guest of honour, performed the flag hoisting ceremony. Environmentalist Padma Shri Tulsi Gowda and Karnataka Rajyotsava awardee Moosabba P Beary were honoured, and Haji K.M. Abdul Rehman, President of Bearys Group of Educational Institutions, presided over the event. Prizes were distributed to winners of the various competitions.

Suggesting a vision for the future, Beary proposed the development of Kodi Beach, emphasizing its ‘Blue Beach’ status. He called for a comprehensive master plan for the coastal belt from Kasaragod to Karwar, encompassing education, commerce, housing, entertainment, and health. Tourism Minister H.K Patil responded positively, assuring a meeting of experts to discuss the matter.

Minister Patil commended the institution’s resilience, tracing its origins to 1906 and acknowledging the Beary brothers’ dedication to preserving and nurturing the school despite initial challenges. Expressing surprise at the institution’s 118-year history, he praised its growth and mission. He particularly applauded the organization’s efforts to identify and provide quality education to underprivileged children in poor and rural areas.

In conclusion, Minister Patil expressed his wishes for the continued growth of Bearys institutions, aspiring for them to evolve into a university. He recognized the institution’s rare accomplishment, attributing its remarkable growth to a steadfast faith in God. Patil hailed the organization’s laudable initiative to nurture the talents of underprivileged children, and deemed it worthy of emulation.
