Tryst at Daybreak with Ken Yeang, was possibly the earliest event at the Campus, with a eager crowd of students, faculty and guests having assembled as early as 7:00am.
Ar Ken Yeang is an architect, ecologist, planner and author from Malaysia, best known for his ecological architecture and eco-masterplans that have a distinctive green aesthetic. He pioneered an ecology-based architecture, working on the theory and practice of sustainable design. The Guardian newspaper named him “one of the 50 people who could save the planet”. Yeang’s headquarters is in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) as Hamzah & Yeang, with offices in London and Beijing.
Dr Yeang presented his works and that formed the basis of further interactions with question and answer session to get a better clarity and relevance of his works. This event was attended by his team members, the Chairman of BAL, Mr Syed Mohammed Beary, BIT Principal, Dr A J Anthony and all HoDs of various departments. Many guest students and architects from the city of Mangalore were also present.
