As part of the annual tour, the combined group of all years covered New Delhi, Agra, Chandigarh & Simla. The tour covered sites of both contemporary and historical architecture. Sites which formed part of the theory classes were explored on site, under the able guidance of the subject teachers.
Highlight was the meeting with Ar Satyender Jain, The Urban Development Minister for Delhi, who apart from spending time with the students also arranged guided tours of Mohalla Clinics and the Polyclinics. The tour therefore wasn’t just an appreciation of architecture and history, but also lessons in Urban Policy and Governance issues from a fellow architect.
